Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Implementation
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with CWSL’s brand and institutional goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including team members, board members, and community partners.
  • Develop and oversee brand identity elements, including messaging, visual assets, and consistent application across all platforms.
  • Research and analyze current and prospective audiences and devise marketing strategies to deepen existing relationships and reach and develop new ones.
  • Communication and Publication
  • Direct the production of all print materials, including viewbooks, brochures, magazines, invitations, direct mailings, postcards, reports, and other school‐wide marketing materials. Assist with witing content as needed.
  • Oversee and direct all phases of the design, production, and distribution of marketing assets and content.
  • Review and edit content drafted by other writers to ensure it incorporates the dean's style and voice.
  • Organize communications and marketing for all law school events including faculty events, institutional events, staff events, select student events, and conferences from creation to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, public and media relations and/or communications required.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to write professionally for audiences of all levels.
  • Experience working in a higher education or legal setting helpful.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Must have a strong understanding and awareness of industry trends, including social media, online web strategies, print, and design mediums.
  • Knowledge of marketing technology is essential.
  • Proven ability to interpret and execute designs in a timely manner, including understanding layout aesthetics and communicating effectively with in‐house and external teams.
  • Must be motivated, highly organized, and a self‐directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
