Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of home shows, festivals, and community events from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee all financial aspects including vendor payments and upselling opportunities
  • Implement innovative marketing strategies to promote events through various channels such as social media, CRM systems, and local advertising
  • Manage event logistics including venue setup, catering arrangements, guest services, and technical requirements using event management software
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Track event performance metrics, gather feedback, and prepare post-event reports to inform future planning efforts

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning, management software proficiency, and managing event budgets within the hospitality or related industries
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on upselling opportunities to maximize revenue
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team leadership, and vendor negotiations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior organizational skills and time management
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for customer engagement and marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability in project management with a focus on detail-oriented execution of large-scale events
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Willingness to travel: 75% (Required)

Preferred

  • Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or banquet facilities is highly desirable
