Responsibilities

• Research and write articles on STI screening, testing, treatment, and prevention
• Edit and fact-check drafts against CDC guidelines, PubMed, and peer-reviewed sources
• Work with AI drafting tools and independent fact-checking resources as part of the editorial process
• Collaborate with the founding team on content planning and editorial direction
• Flag clinical questions that need medical advisor input

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at UW or Seattle University (junior, senior, or graduate student)
• Working toward a degree in public health, nursing, epidemiology, infectious disease, pre-med or a closely related field
• Strong writing skills — you can translate clinical information into clear, accessible prose
• Comfortable engaging with sexual health topics professionally and without euphemism
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines without close supervision

Preferred

• coursework or research experience in STIs, sexual health, or infectious disease
• Familiarity with CDC clinical guidelines and how to read epidemiological data
• Experience with AI writing or research tools, or a willingness to learn quickly
• Interest in health startups, digital health, or health communication
