Job Summary

Drive the US marketing for a high-end design brand, owning the calendar, events, media partnerships, and flagship collaborations.

  • Must-have: Eight to twelve years building brands in lifestyle/fashion/hospitality with a scaled events program.
  • Standout: Director-level dealmaking with agents, hotels, or celebrities to move the needle.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Planning. You will build and own our annual US marketing calendar, the roadmap that says what we do, when, for whom, and why. You will defend priorities at leadership level and make sure every US activity adds up to something bigger than the sum of its moments.
  • Events and activations. This is where we want you to go big. From intimate designer dinners and showroom evenings to tentpole moments during Design Week in New York, Miami, and LA, you will scale our US events program into a calendar that people want to be part of. Concept to guest list, production to measurement, it is yours.
  • Media and partnerships. You will own our US print advertising calendar across shelter, design, and lifestyle titles, and build a podcast partnership program that reaches the audiences we care about. Newsletters, Substacks, bespoke editorial collaborations, if it builds the brand through media, it is on your desk. You will negotiate the deals and own the budget.
  • Flagship partnerships. When a conversation needs weight, a celebrity campaign, a hotel residency, a members-club collaboration, a cultural partnership that moves the needle, you are the person we send. You will work alongside our existing tastemaker and designer programs, focused on the deals that require a director-level seat at the table.
  • A few times a year, when our Stockholm creatives cannot travel, you will also oversee US shoots produced with freelance creatives, protecting our brand on set and making real-time calls that match our taste

Requirements

  • Eight to twelve years building brands, likely inside a lifestyle, design, furniture, fashion, or hospitality company where craft matters
  • Scaled an events program and can point to moments you are proud of
  • Closed a senior partnership that required sitting across from an agent, a publicist, or a hotel GM
  • Negotiated print campaigns and run audio partnerships
  • Know the difference between execution and strategy, and you can do both
  • Your network in New York is real. You know the editors, the designers, the producers, the agencies, the venues, and the tastemakers who make things happen in this city
  • Los Angeles is not a mystery to you either. You have taste, and you have a point of view about what makes a brand memorable rather than merely visible
  • You are comfortable being the only marketer in the room for a while
  • You are good at working across time zones with a headquartered team without losing either your own judgment or their trust

Benefits

  • The chance to build something, to shape how Nordic Knots shows up in our most important market, with real budget, real autonomy, and a team in Stockholm who backs you up
  • A clear growth path. Year one solo, year two your first hire, and a runway into a broader leadership role as the US team expands
  • Full health, dental, and vision; 401(k) with match; generous PTO; an employee product allowance; quarterly travel to our Stockholm HQ
  • A thoughtful culture that values craft, warmth, and unfussy excellence
