  • Standout: First marketing hire with budget and path to build a team; AI-native toolset.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Positioning and creative strategy. You drive how Maven Bio shows up in the market. You sharpen the positioning and narrative the company uses across sales, product, and public surfaces, and you design the creative go-to-market plays that get our category in front of the right buyers.
  • Thought leadership. You write the analyses our ICP resonates with. Indication landscapes, cross-trial comparisons, asset screens, conference abstract roundups, deal flow analyses, and customer stories. Each piece doubles as proof the product works.
  • Distribution and presence. You own how Maven Bio shows up across social, webinars, and events.
  • Inbound demand. You capture and route the leads your work generates, keep our CRM up-to-date, hand qualified leads to sales with full context, and track which content and channels generate pipeline.

Requirements

  • Builder mindset. When you see a gap, you ship something rather than wait for permission.
  • Life sciences fluent or a fast learner. Most likely paths in: consulting, biotech, pharma operations, biopharma media, or a vertical SaaS that sold into life sciences.
  • Comfortable as a public face. You are willing to host webinars on camera, post under your own name, and build a following inside the ICP.
  • AI-native. You use AI tools every day to draft, edit, research, and ideate, and you are excited to help build an AI-native marketing function from scratch rather than rebuild the legacy demand-gen stack.
  • Measurement-comfortable. You expect your work to have a P&L attached.
  • Startup-fit. You want ownership and you operate with high intensity.

Benefits

  • First marketing hire with ownership of the function from day one
  • Real budget for content, tools, webinars, events, and experiments
  • A product with strong demo conversion and customer retention
  • Path to build a team in 12-24 months as the function and company grow
