Job Summary

Drive ClearQuery’s growth in aviation safety by engaging Part 135 operators and showcasing data-driven compliance.

  • Must-have: Certificated aviation professional with Part 135 insight
  • Standout: First-hire, end-to-end ownership of outreach, signup funnel, and outcomes

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with Part 135 operators, Directors of Safety, and Chief Pilots who are making SMS compliance decisions right now
  • Represent ClearQuery at industry events: NBAA-BACE, Air Charter Safety Foundation symposium, NATA events, FSDO safety seminars, and regional aviation gatherings
  • Create educational content about data-driven SMS compliance — blog posts, LinkedIn articles, guides, and short demo videos that show ClearQuery’s value
  • Develop partnerships with aviation organizations (NBAA, ACSF, NATA, AOPA, EAA, ARSA) for webinars, co-branded content, and speaking opportunities
  • Pitch aviation trade publications (AOPA Pilot, Flying, Aviation Maintenance Magazine) for product coverage and thought leadership
  • Conduct product demos for operators, showing how ClearQuery’s fleet hazard intelligence maps directly to their SRM documentation requirements
  • Build and run targeted outreach campaigns via email and LinkedIn to Part 135 certificate holders
  • Manage the self-serve signup funnel and nurture leads from free trial to paid subscription
  • Feed market intelligence back to the product team — what operators are asking for, what objections you hear, what features would close the deal

Requirements

  • A certificated pilot, flight instructor, or aviation professional who understands the GA and Part 135 world from the inside. You know what an AD is, you’ve seen SDRs, and you can talk shop with a Director of Ops without reading a script
  • You want to transition into the business side of aviation — whether you’re a CFI looking beyond the flight school, a dispatcher, a safety officer, or someone else in the industry ready for a different challenge
  • A strong communicator who can write a compelling LinkedIn post, present at an industry event, and have a natural conversation during a product demo
  • A self-starter. This is a first hire at a small company. No playbook, no sales manager, no morning standup. You’ll have goals and support, but you own how you get there
  • Comfortable with technology and AI tools. You don’t need to be a programmer, but you should be the kind of person who figures things out
  • Willing to travel for conferences and events (roughly 4–6 trips per year)

Preferred

  • CFI/CFII who has trained students that went on to fly Part 135
  • Existing relationships with Part 135 operators, FBOs, or maintenance shops
  • Experience with a safety program, safety committee, or SMS implementation
  • Background in content creation, social media, or marketing in any context
  • Familiarity with the Part 5 SMS mandate and the May 2027 compliance deadline
