Job Summary

Own the end-to-end direct response program, blending campaign execution with data-driven optimization to lift fundraising and engagement across new donor acquisition, conversions, and retention.

  • Direct Response Operations: run campaigns, manage budgets, and optimize donation pages and channels for higher ROI.
  • Analytics & Reporting: measure performance and turn data into decisions for growth across donor segments and journey stages.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: coordinate with Growth Marketing, offline teams, and vendors to scale tactics like email automations, welcome journeys, and sustainer programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of direct response initiatives to continue elevating our direct response program and achieve our fundraising and engagement goals.
  • Analyze and evaluate direct response campaigns and performance, and use results to guide data-driven decisions on strategies that drive new donor acquisition and improve conversion and retention among ADL donor base.
  • Manage direct response budget spend and reconciliation to ensure the direct response program is on track and achieving targeted ROI.
  • Oversee CSC Direct Response GoFundMe Pro donation pages including creation, customizations, and optimizations to maximize donor conversions.
  • Responsible for operational tasks for successful execution of SMS, direct mail and other direct response channels as needed, including strategy, creative development and working with agency partners.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing team to build decks and reports analyzing fundraising performance to inform internal stakeholders and marketing strategy.
  • Contribute to the implementation and evolution of new tactics such as email automations, custom welcome journeys, audience segmentation, sustainer program, second gift conversion initiatives and more with the goal to increase gifts, donors, retention, engagement, and revenue.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase engagement for supporters and event attendees, and manage said projects as they arise.
  • Provide Direct Response and ADL brand expertise by serving as liaison to ADL departments and regional offices for offline marketing projects, including review of copy and strategy.
  • Manage ADL’s general reply inbox by sending replies, analyzing emails, creating reports, and elevating to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently regarding decision-making, project initiation and completion.
  • Comprehensive strategic thinking, analytical and rapid problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient with technology; eager and capable of learning new software and systems required.
  • Strong data-driven mindset.

  • Comfort building relationships and collaborating with colleagues and partners remotely across the country essential.
  • Collaborative attitude and sense of teamwork.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel a must, and Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud ESP, and donation platforms preferred.

Preferred

  • Prefer previous supervisory experience of a vendor, agency or employee and program or operational management experience.
  • Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud ESP, and donation platforms familiarity.
