Job Description

Responsibilities

  • drive the graphic design and production execution of iterative marketing materials that follow the standards set by our clients.
  • create iterative marketing materials pulling through updates to existing pieces (flashcards, brochures, banner ads, print ads, emails, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
  • preparing final production files based on vendor or final user specifications, ensuring quality and accuracy of all files prior to release.
  • working independently on competing deadlines while delivering on-time, on-budget, error-free, high-quality work.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard, including providing feedback on allocated hours to establish project scopes
  • Demonstrating proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud programs to create iterative marketing materials across print and digital mediums
  • Communicating proactively with project managers to clarify specifications, deadlines, and any production risks or issues that arise
  • Maintaining version and quality control of owned assets through the lifecycle of a project
  • Ensuring all design work adheres to established brand guidelines and meets regulatory requirements, with a strong understanding of FDA guidelines
  • Amending and optimizing production-ready assets (illustrations, icons, graphics, images, figures, diagrams, etc.) ensuring all client requests are pulled through and that clean, logical file structures, styles, and layers are in place

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a graphic design and digital/print production role within the pharmaceutical, device, and/or healthcare industries; preferably at an agency
  • A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects that demonstrates technical skills, and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); advanced PowerPoint skills a plus
  • Demonstrated production craftsmanship with an efficient use of styles, grids, and master pages
  • Strong prepress and technical production fluency including color management, print standards, mechanicals, file formats, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work both fast and accurately under tight, fixed deadlines, prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
