Job Summary

Own end-to-end events marketing program for Akoya, turning conferences into pipeline by shaping strategy, on-site presence, vendor management, and post-event impact across demand and customer events.

  • Strategy and execution: manage annual events calendar, decide which conferences to attend, sponsor, or speak to maximize thought-leader exposure and growth impact.
  • Lifecycle and ROI: drive post-event follow-ups, lead capture, and pipeline influence with clear ROI tracking in Salesforce.

Job Description

  • Manage the execution of Akoya's annual events calendar and strategy, identifying which conferences to attend, sponsor, and/or speak at that best suit our thought leaders and growth team
  • Pitch and secure speaking and sponsorship opportunities, partnering with internal SMEs to shape a compelling on-site presence
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners, including procurement, negotiating, and managing contracts, deliverables, and on-site execution
  • Track and monitor marketing event expenses and budget updates in partnership with the Head of Marketing, flagging risks, changes, or overages as needed
  • Produce event messaging for dedicated pre- and post-conference email campaigns
  • Execute promotion of events and event-specific panel sessions through social channels
  • Manage logistics for large-scale trade shows, including collateral, swag, registrations, etc.
  • Manage onsite lead capture processes, including tooling, booth staff enablement, and meeting coordination, to ensure every event generates an actionable pipeline for the sales team
  • Track event ROI using Salesforce, including conference engagement, new contacts, and pipeline influenced, to gather insights
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing to execute and host the annual customer event this Fall
  • 3+ years in B2B events marketing
  • Experience coordinating or executing B2B conferences, tradeshows, webinars, hosted events, or customer/prospect events, including supporting large-scale hosted events
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously, including fluency with project management software to build timelines, track deliverables, and keep cross-functional teams aligned, with limited day-to-day oversight
  • Experience collaborating with product marketing, growth, finance, legal and customer success teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives
  • Comfortable sharing event plans, timelines, risks, results, and recommendations with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn, AI tools
  • Hands-on experience with event registration and attendee management platforms, with the ability to use, assess, and recommend tools or process improvements for events of varying scale
  • Ability to synthesize event results, stakeholder feedback, and engagement data into clear post-event recaps
  • Ability to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Experience with coordinating or supporting cross-functional initiatives across marketing and sales teams
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or in a role that requires supporting and helping scale an events function
  • Experience in the banking/fintech industry: you know the conferences that matter, understand the audiences and event formats that matter, and can help position Akoya's thought leaders effectively
  • Experience managing multiple events across different formats, including conferences, webinars, hosted events, sponsored events, and executive/customer programs
  • Experience preparing event performance reports or dashboards in Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Figma
  • Familiarity with ZoomInfo
  • Familiarity with ON24 or similar hosted webinar platforms
