Technical Designer We are in search of a Technical Designer to join our Signage Design and Implementation team. This role is suited for someone with a passion for taking creative concepts and meticulously crafting them into comprehensive systems. As a pivotal link between creativity and practicality, you will not only document design details and specifications but also apply signage systems to diverse site-specific applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical design, a hands-on approach, and a readiness to work with our varied client base across healthcare, financial services, energy, and technology sectors. Responsibilities Collaborate with design teams to understand and interpret design concepts Develop detailed technical specifications and documentation for comprehensive signage systems Utilize industry-standard software to prepare technical drawings Advise on material selection, structural considerations, and installation methods Ensure compliance with ADA guidelines, regulatory standards, and client specifications Create site-specific design recommendations for applying signage systems to client facilities Participate in project management, adhering to timelines and contributing to the efficiency of the implementation process Manage responsibilities across multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and quality deliverables Requirements Educational or professional background in industrial design, environmental graphic design, graphic design, or architecture is a plus Advanced proficiency in ACAD, Revit, and Corel Draw; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and SketchUp is beneficial Experience in a production-oriented role, demonstrating a practical approach to design Keen understanding of the built environment, coupled with a robust sense of scale and spatial awareness, to effectively contribute to signage design Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and code requirements related to signage is an asset An organized and self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and proactively Excellent communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adjust to shifting priorities Willingness to travel as needed, though travel is expected to be minimal (20% of the time or less) Compensation Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Final salary will be determined based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, training and experience, and may vary from the amount listed above.
