Job Summary

Own and coordinate high-impact sports sponsorship programs by aligning client goals with cross-functional partnerships, stakeholder management, and proactive business development.

  • Growth & Partnerships: Lead research-informed opportunities, sponsor architecture, and strategic recommendations across property and sports marketing.
  • Stakeholder & Delivery: Manage senior agency relationships, cross-SBU collaboration, and day-to-day client communications to ensure contract execution and asset delivery.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain agency relationships where applicable
  • Contribute to business growth including research, ideation, and presenting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior agency stakeholders.
  • Interacts with members of other SBU’s as the respective disciplines of those SBU’s are pertinent to proposed and executed media investments and sponsorship marketing strategies
  • Key member and leader within the Property & Sports Marketing team
  • Support Optimum Sports account teams by providing consultation, strategic direction, and recommendations in fulfillment of partnerships under contract
  • Oversee and manage multiple team members within the Sports Marketing & Property Marketing Group
  • Manage day-to-day relationships on behalf of clients outbound with multiple sports teams and leagues
  • Present new partnership opportunities and annual sports strategic recommendations to senior level executives
  • Design decks and word documents that convey strategy supported with appropriate research

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required (preferably Marketing, Business, Sports Management or Communications)
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in sports
  • Expertise in partnership (rights holder) marketing
  • Extensive marketplaces contact network, particularly in the collegiate landscape e.g., Conferences and Mixed Media Rightsholders (Learfield/Playfly)
  • Extremely strong communicator and presenter, both written and verbal – in person and on conference calls
  • Creative thinker who can develop unique ideas, solutions, and programs
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize many simultaneous deliverables
  • Vast experience in end-to-end management of partnerships
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate ideas in both a written and verbal setting
  • Expert in industry knowledge and understanding of sports marketing, property marketing and media vernacular/trends
