Drive cross-border client strategy and partnerships to design end-to-end value propositions and seamless journeys across Canadian-US banking for RBC.
Job Description What is the Opportunity? In the role of Director, Cross-Border Client Value Prop & Growth, you are the engine of RBC's cross-border client segment. You take the intelligence produced by the insights team: who the clients are, what the market looks like, how products are performing, and turn it into something clients actually experience: a differentiated end-to-end value proposition, a functioning acquisition model, and a relationship deepening strategy that makes RBC the primary cross-border banking relationship for the clients we most want to keep. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. It requires someone who can operate with credibility across product owners, channel heads, Personal Banking (Canada) business line leads, and external partners and who has the judgment to know where to push for change and where to sequence. What will you do? - Value Proposition Design: Own the end-to-end value proposition for the cross-border segment. Produce clear 'why RBC' narratives and reasons to believe for each persona to enable a compelling and differentiated value proposition for cross-border segment clients. - Client Acquisition Model: Design the multi-year client acquisition strategy and roadmap to drive acquisition, engagement and long-term client value, delivering on segment growth and performance metrics. - Relationship Deepening Framework: Own the strategy for moving clients from single-product to full cross-border relationships. - End-to-End Client Journey Ownership: Own the cross-border client journey from the Canadian side to the US side and back, mapping every touchpoint identifying how to make RBC's cross-border experience seamless. - External Partnership Ecosystem: Identify and build the external partnership ecosystem that completes the value proposition where RBC's product shelf has gaps. - Internal Partnership Development: Build and maintain the internal partnerships essential to delivering the cross-border value proposition. Advocate effectively for cross-border segment needs within enterprise planning, prioritization and resourcing discussions. - Executive Storytelling and Strategic Advocacy: Translate the segment's performance and strategic opportunity into compelling narratives for RBC Bank and enterprise leadership. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: - Commercial acumen and growth orientation: Deep instinct for what drives growth in a complex, multi-product financial services context. Understands how to turn a market opportunity into a functioning growth model. - Strategic agility and external orientation: Able to identify emerging competitive threats and opportunities, build external networks, and translate market intelligence into strategic action. Thinks both short-term and long-term simultaneously. - Cross-functional influence and leadership: Able to lead through influence rather than authority. Builds trust with senior peers mobilizes them in service of segment outcomes without direct control. - Partnership development and management: Ability to identify, negotiate, and manage both internal and external partnerships. Understands what makes a partnership commercially viable, brand-appropriate, and sustainable over time. - Client centricity and journey design: Deep understanding of how clients experience financial services across a multi-product, multi-channel, multi-jurisdiction relationship. Ability to map journeys, identify friction, and design interventions that improve client outcomes and deepen relationships. - Communication and executive storytelling: Able to synthesize complex situations into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership, partner functions, and external stakeholders. - Execution excellence: Able to move from strategy to design to activation with speed. Comfortable holding multiple workstreams simultaneously and making pragmatic trade-offs when needed. - Cross-border financial services knowledge: Deep understanding of the Canadian and US banking landscapes and the cross-border client journey. What’s in it for you? We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual. - A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable. - Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities. - Ability to make a difference and lasting impact. - Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team. - A world-class training program in financial services. - Opportunities to do challenging work, including leveraging AI and SRE principles to drive innovation and operational excellence. #LI-Post #TECHPJ Job Skills Business Case Design, Business Partnerships, Client Acquisitions, Client Segmentation, Critical Thinking, Knowledge Organization, Product Development Lifecycle, Product Development Methodology, Product Manufacturing, Product Services, Product Testing, Results-Oriented, Segment Management, Value Propositions, Waterfall Model Additional Job Details Address: 8081 ARCO CORPORATE DRIVE:RALEIGH City: Raleigh Country: United States of America Work hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Full time Platform: PERSONAL & COMMERCIAL BANKING Job Type: Regular Pay Type: Salaried Posted Date: 2026-04-15 Application Deadline: 2026-05-11 Note : Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on the day prior to the application deadline date above Our Employment Opportunities At RBC, we are guided by living shared values of Client First, Integrity, Collaboration, Respect and Excellence and winning together as One RBC.
