Job Summary

Own the communications portfolio across PR, organic and paid social, and executive speech support, driving strategy, execution, and measurement across regional and national teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the MarComm Team to develop and manage the editorial calendar and dashboard (5%)
  • Lead and execute a public relations strategy (55%)
  • - Develop an org-wide PR strategy and consult on region-specific strategies
  • - Provide regional PR oversight (i.e., provide feedback and approve press releases, pitches, speaking points for regional initiatives, coordinate with EDs, RLT members to support media opportunities)
  • - Write and distribute limited org-wide press releases and accompanying pitches, and provide tools and approval for regional press releases and pitches.
  • - Manage incoming press inquiries and create spokespeople briefing documents for national outlets and for regions that don’t have communications leads
  • - Collaborate strategically with communications leads in partner organizations (i.e., NCAN, New York Times, etc.)
  • - Track and report media coverage and maximize coverage through OneGoal’s owned channels.
  • Lead and execute an organic and paid social media strategy (35%)
  • - Develop a strategy and gather content (i.e., stories, photos, videos) for prioritized social media channels (i.e., LinkedIn and Instagram)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Experienced leading cross functional projects (Required)

Preferred

  • At least five years of experience working in marketing + communications, preferably in public relations and media relations (Preferred)
  • Experience working with marketing software, including Muck Rack, Sprout Social, Opus Pro, Asana and leveraging Artificial Intelligence in a responsible and ethical way (Preferred)
