Essential Functions & Responsibilities Digital Application Architect The Digital Application Architect plays a pivotal role in supporting Arcwood’s digital transformation roadmap. They are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications that align with the company's objectives and digital strategy. Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times Defines and maintains application architecture frameworks, standards, patterns, and reference architectures and ensures any development follows DevOps, Security and CI/CD best practices Assists in program activities related to mergers and acquisitions Partners closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment between application architecture and the overall enterprise architecture strategy Reviews and enhances existing systems; regularly assesses and improves existing applications to meet evolving business needs Collaborates with developers and stakeholders, ensuring that the application architecture aligns with the overall IT/digital transformation strategy, business goals and supports modernization efforts (legacy rationalization, cloud migration, microservices, API-first design) Oversees the implementation of changes, providing guidance to Development teams as needed Ensures architectural alignment across front-end, back-end, integration, and data layers Provides and maintains architecture documentation and Developer training material for the applications supported to ensure continuity and growth of knowledge Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (required) Master's degree (preferred) Experience 10+ years of experience in application development on Linux/Windows systems including code management and release management (required) 5+ years of experience in technology roles spanning application architecture, solution architecture, and/or enterprise architecture (required) Previous experience designing APIs that facilitate a superior UX and simplify systems integration (required) Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity Arcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
