Job Summary

Own local campus/community growth for a food sharing platform by doing grassroots outreach, signups, onboarding, and engagement, with a revenue model tied to per-user incentives.

  • Ownership: drive region/campus growth, recruit Authorized Food Sellers, and build Table activity.
  • Audience & channels: chefs, students, home cooks, food creators, and local foodies via in-person outreach and campus marketing.
  • Metrics & incentives: track signups, onboarding, engagement, and regional progress; compensation is 100% commission-based with per-qualified-user and active-user bonuses.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct grassroots outreach to chefs, bakers, home cooks, culinary students, foodies, and culinary creators within your region or campus community
  • Help grow BuzzSpoon awareness and activity throughout your campus and local foodie community
  • Make outbound cold calls and direct outreach to potential users and food businesses
  • Attract new users and culinary creators to join BuzzSpoon
  • Drive signups, onboarding activity, and platform engagement within your assigned region
  • Recruit qualified Authorized Food Sellers onto the platform
  • Get prospective users and sellers to create their BuzzSpoon profile (“Table”), post dishes, build a following, request and serve plates, engage with their local foodie community, and grow activity around their Table
  • Represent BuzzSpoon through grassroots user acquisition efforts by conducting in-person outreach, pitching the value of the platform to potential users, distributing branded marketing materials, and personally guiding new users through account creation on the spot
  • Follow up with prospects and encourage continued engagement on the platform
  • Track outreach efforts, signups, onboarding activity, and regional growth progress

Requirements

  • Ambassadors must live in or near the region/campus they are helping grow
  • Estimated Contract Term: 2-3 Months
  • 100% Commission Based Compensation Structure
  • Must be comfortable with grassroots outreach

Nice to Have

  • Culinary students, aspiring chefs, bakers, food creators, and individuals with a culinary background are strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with local foodie culture, culinary communities, campus organizations, or food businesses is a plus
