Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging original media intended for both print or digital format
  • Develop marketing materials and design elements that align with the Lancaster Chamber’s brand, including but not limited to:
  • Brand visual elements
  • Email marketing assets
  • Social media graphics
  • Digital and print presentations
  • Event collateral and program materials
  • Annual reports and publications
  • Digital and print advertisements
  • Sales and sponsorship materials
  • Develop written content that clearly communicates value to Lancaster County’s business community across multiple platforms.
  • Write and refine marketing copy for email campaigns, digital promotions, and marketing materials that align with the Chamber’s voice and tone.
  • Manage assigned marketing and communications projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Assist with the implementation and strategic development of organizational brand and overall marketing & communications plan.
  • Executes the development of creative concepts for campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand and strategic goals.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to develop marketing materials that support programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure clear expectations, timelines, and deliverables for all marketing and communications projects.
  • Executes email marketing campaigns from concept through deployment, including audience segmentation and performance tracking.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (email, website, and digital campaigns) and apply insights to improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Assist with website content updates, design, and performance optimization using CMS platforms.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, public relations, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Initiative to move projects forward.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and ability to contribute ideas for engaging marketing content.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexible; openness to a variety of work and skill levels
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient use of Canva
  • Proficient use of Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems ( e.g. Wordpress)
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and analytics tools
  • Attend regular staff meetings and staff activities.
  • Capability to attend and work at Chamber events that occur before or after normal business hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel independently to and from events and programs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
