Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Copywriting: Write and edit copy for web and social media platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with brand voice with an eye to search engines and generative AI search optimization.
  • Content development: Develop and manage strategy and editorial calendars for corporate blog and social media accounts. Create and optimize content to improve search visibility and audience engagement. Create, coordinate the creation of and/or execute organic social media content as needed, in coordination with the multimedia manager.
  • Social media management: Manage and monitor corporate social media accounts and implement governance program, in partnership with the company's IT department. Create, manage and document UTM links to support effective campaign metric tracking. Post content and track performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media strategies.
  • Analyze and report performance: Monitor social media and website metrics, analyze performance data, and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Social listening: Develop strategy, identify potential tools to support social listening efforts to monitor mentions, industry trends, and issues as they arise. Provide insights and recommendations based on social listening data.
  • Social media guidelines and best practices: Develop global social media guidelines and best practices for both brands and employees. Serve as an advisor on social media content and strategy best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams: Work cross-functionally, across departments and brands, to develop engaging blogs and social media content, ensuring consistent, cohesive messaging.
  • Promote positive company culture by contributing and by creating and distributing content that highlights company values and mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital media or related discipline.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, and proficiency in AP Style.
  • Five years of experience in journalism, social media content and/or management, social listening, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong experience using and managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret social media and social listening metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 10-20% travel

Preferred

  • Prior journalistic experience.
  • Knowledge of SEO, AI SEO/GEO content marketing strategies and social listening techniques.
  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors and internal clients.
  • Experience managing and maintaining websites and website performance optimization and analytics.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
