Job Summary

Own the growth and integration of pharmacy services across MU Health Care clinics, driving workflow improvements, outreach, and talent initiatives to boost prescription capture and provider engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with pharmacy operations leaders to identify workflow, access, and service barriers that impact prescription capture, patient access, and provider engagement.
  • Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with physician leaders, advanced practice providers, clinic administrators, and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities to increase awareness, utilization, and access to pharmacy services.
  • Coordinates outreach activities with ambulatory clinics, inpatient units, and service line stakeholders to promote awareness, integration, and utilization of pharmacy services.
  • Analyzes utilization metrics and identifies barriers to prescription capture.
  • Develops and implements targeted strategies to increase system-wide participation, improve referral and prescribing workflows, and achieve established prescription capture and volume growth goals.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports to leadership on pharmacy growth initiatives, prescription capture performance, and workforce metrics, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinates educational outreach and training for providers and staff on pharmacy services, prescribing workflows, and benefits of integrated pharmacy care.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop, implement, and evaluate targeted marketing campaigns and provider communication strategies. Coordinates outreach initiatives across patient, provider, and community audiences.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to support pharmacy technician workforce and service line growth initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on pharmacy career opportunities, identifying outreach opportunities with educational institutions and workforce development programs, and participating in career days, job fairs, and recruitment events.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT) certification by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) within (1) year as a condition of employment in this job classification.
  • Two (2) years of pharmacy experience.
