Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage outreach initiatives, including Airport's Speakers Bureau.
  • Process, organize, and track requests for airport speakers.
  • Provide accurate information for presentations and maintain up-to-date materials aligned to brand standards.
  • Offer ongoing coaching to prepare speakers for presentations.
  • Make presentations to community groups, professional groups, and school career days; broaden speaking engagements.
  • Collaborate to develop presentations, educational lessons, and related learning materials for outreach activities.
  • Lead Airport Tour Program, including education tours for children through adult and special groups.
  • Identify additional groups for airport tours and meetings aligned to strategic goals.
  • Respond to speaker and tour requests in ZenDesk promptly.
  • Represent Public Relations on committees such as Community Service Fund Drive, Workforce Development; participate in PHX Crisis Communications.

Requirements

  • Three years of professional-level experience in research, finance, or public administration.
  • Master's degree in business or public administration, or a related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Preferred

  • Experience developing programs and/or partnerships.
  • Experience supervising professional-level and administrative staff.
  • Experience creating collaborations with community organizations and/or schools.
  • Experience managing and monitoring budgets, contracts, and/or contract compliance.
  • Experience in speaking engagements/presentations to community groups, professional groups, and schools.
  • Experience with writing advanced level memos, reports, City Council reports, and/or special project recommendations.
