Job Summary

Own the flow of chamber communications and event operations, ensuring timely messaging, smooth logistics, and accurate member data to drive community engagement.

Communications & Branding: Draft, format, and publish weekly emails, newsletters, and employer/ member communications.
Event Planning & Operations: Plan and execute events, manage logistics, registrations, and on-site coordination.
Member Data & Internal Ops: Maintain member records, track engagement metrics, and support office administration.

Job Description

Execute weekly email communications, monthly newsletters, and event promotions.
Maintain and update the Chamber website, including event calendar and member content.
Schedule and post social media content; monitor messages and respond to inquiries.
Assist in drafting and formatting communications aligned with Chamber branding.
Support planning and execution of Chamber events under direction of leadership.
Coordinate logistics including venue communication, catering, supplies, and AV needs.
Manage event registrations, attendance tracking, and payment processing.
Assist with event setup, teardown, and on-site coordination.
Support Membership Manager in maintaining accurate member records and databases.
Process registrations, sponsorships, and general member transactions.

The mission of the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is to partner with business, civic and other community interests to provide a forum for their respective concerns, while providing business advocacy in the economic development of the Greater West Oakland area.Many people think a Chamber of Commerce is part of their local government. Although at times we work closely with them, the chamber is not a part of the local government. Our purpose is to improve the quality of life for businesses and residents in the lakes area. We act as a unified voice on behalf of the business community and provide a forum to discuss and review topics of interest within the lakes area.In addition, we serve as a source of information and develop programs that are responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. We encourage both individuals and businesses to participate in our chamber.
