Assist with social media content, events, and marketing materials while learning event planning and communications at NAMI Wisconsin.

• Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.
• Assist with event planning and execution of our events including NAMIWalks Wisconsin, Affiliate Leadership Summit, NAMI Wisconsin Annual Conference, Action on the Square, and more.
• Assist with the creation of our quarterly Iris Newsletter.

Requirements

• Experience or interest in event planning and communications
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about NAMI and mental illness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and including feeling comfortable making unsolicited phone calls.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Enthusiasm to learn and be a team player
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Ability to maintain a reliable schedule and complete tasks according to timeline
• Must be able to find transportation to come into the office (414 Atlas Ave, Madison, WI 53714)

Benefits

• This Internship will take place in-person (414 Atlas Ave, Madison, WI 53714) between the hours of 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday based upon a schedule mutually agreed upon between the student and the Communications & Events Director.
• Internship Hours: 10 hours per week
• This Internship has several events which includes overnight hotel stays (travel and lodging will be covered)
• Summer 2026 - Spring 2027
• NAMI Wisconsin Interns are expected to work 10 hours per week.
