Job Summary

Own communications strategy and calendar across campaigns and donor touchpoints.

  • Coordinate promotional materials, email campaigns, and events to drive donor engagement and visibility.
  • Support media outreach and storytelling for donors and digital platforms across teams.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Development Director to create and implement annual and campaign-specific communication strategies.
  • Develop and coordinate promotional materials, email campaigns, text messages, merchandise, and other communication projects as needed.
  • Support message development and storytelling for donor engagement, media outreach, and digital platforms.
  • Maintain and manage the organization-wide communications calendar.
  • Organize and maintain access to approved brand assets, including logos, templates, and photography.
  • Manage communications platforms including Active Campaign, True Dialog, and Classy.
  • Oversee the Freedom email account and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with paid digital advertising efforts on platforms such as Meta Platforms and Google, as applicable.
  • Assist with gift acknowledgements and donor appreciation initiatives.
  • Manage requests for Freedom Kids information, materials, and speaking engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience required in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in communications, fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit development strongly preferred

Preferred

  • Experience with donor engagement and media outreach is preferred
