Job Summary

Own peer-to-peer fundraising and donor relations for Blood Cancer United by driving local events, national stewardship, and volunteer networks, while shaping the strategy and pace of peer-to-peer products across mission teams.

  • Mission ownership: align with Education, Services and Health Research to communicate priorities and resources to donors and constituents.
  • Revenue ownership: drive high-impact peer-to-peer fundraising and execute a yearly plan to beat revenue targets.
  • Volunteer network leadership: recruit and cultivate high-level volunteers and partner with local and national teams to grow revenue.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Mission Integration
  • Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
  • Organizing mission centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting high-impact donors for national stewardship activities
  • Fundraising & Relationship Building
  • Drive high-impact peer to peer fundraising to achieve overall revenue goals.
  • Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the peer-to-peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals and timelines.
  • Execute innovative strategic plan developed annually and revised periodically to ensure team exceeds all revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with local relationship team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United.
  • Volunteer and Network Management
  • Recruitment and cultivation of high-level volunteer committees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a directly relatable role
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: familiarity with KPIs and campaign success requirements
  • General market, community and constituent perspective in pipeline development
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounts of 5-figures+; campaign development and resource management
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of multiple sales channels including digital and social media
  • Strong collaboration skills with Mission Teams and other organizational partners
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
