Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes marketing strategies and integrated tactical plans designed to raise the reputation and awareness of the School of Nursing and its programs.
  • Works independently and with partners to build, execute and refine enrollment, external learning and reputation marketing campaigns in a variety of formats, including traditional, digital, paid search, email and direct response.
  • Helps articulate quantifiable objectives and recommends tactics and timeline
  • Creates strategic plans for marketing initiatives, including message development, creative direction, target audiences, timelines and/or other related aspects
  • Develops strong relationships and effective collaborative processes with program partners
  • Develops and monitors marketing communications budget to achieve plan
  • Tracks and analyzes key metrics and performance data for social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Conducts marketing research and competitive analysis to inform decision-making and recommend improvements
  • Proactively seek ways to help VUSN programs to improve performance
  • Develops and distributes compelling messaging and content for target audiences.

Requirements

  • Education and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing or advertising, preferably in higher education
  • Experience and Skills: - Demonstrated success in integrated marketing and communications initiatives, including advertising, digital and social media marketing, direct response, email and event campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and communications principles, including brand strategy and management, message development, competitive analysis and higher education graduate enrollment marketing trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of creativity; experience creating and managing content across websites, social platforms and digital channels.
  • Advanced technical and analytical capabilities, including SEO/SEM, web content management systems, basic HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and data analysis, reporting and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while working both independently and collaboratively, flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.
  • Candidate who are contacted for an interview may be required to submit writing samples.
