Job Summary

Own the operations of an affordable-housing community by coordinating leasing, financial administration, and resident services to drive compliant, well-maintained living environments.

  • Operational Stewardship: Assist leasing, marketing, and certifications to keep occupancy strong and compliant.
  • Financial & Compliance: Help AP/AR, rent collection, delinquencies, and record-keeping to sustain financial health.
  • Community & Maintenance: Address resident concerns and coordinate between residents and maintenance to maintain a safe, engaging living environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist leasing, marketing, recertifications, and admin tasks to keep community operations smooth.
  • Support accounts payable/receivable, rent collection, and delinquency management to sustain financial health.
  • Address resident concerns promptly and help organize retention events to strengthen community spirit.
  • Ensure affordable housing program compliance through accurate records and audit support.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to uphold timely, quality property upkeep and safety.
  • Help prepare reports to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs (e.g., Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC) and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with RealPage, OneSite, and JD Edwards (or similar software).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on creating great living experiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive issues professionally.
  • Demonstrates accountability and reliability with attention to detail and collaborative, resident-centered approach.
