Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Duties: To teach undergraduate courses in sales and marketing (predominantly with the possibility of some graduate-level teaching) in a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2026.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate level, conducting research aimed at scholarly journals within the discipline, and providing service both internally and externally.
  • The normal teaching load for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours per semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach intersession, summer, and/or online courses for additional pay, subject to course and funding availability.
  • An ability to support dissertation work (serve on committees) in marketing and our internal study abroad programming is also a plus.

Requirements

  • To be considered for this position, the applicant must have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion by August 2026) in Marketing or a related business discipline from an AACSB-accredited or other well-regarded business program.
  • Applicants should possess strong evidence of the potential to publish research in elite academic marketing journals and must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • No candidate will be considered who does not meet the departmental AACSB standards for Scholarly Academics (SA).

  • Industry experience is a plus.
  • Our industry partners are engaged in analytics applied to sales, service, branding, and distribution, and candidates with a desire and ability to work with industry partners are highly preferred.
  • research and teaching interests in sales management and sales-related topics, including digital/virtual selling, CRM, and customer experience management, are particularly desirable.
