Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business and develop client-ready materials with minimal edits.
  • Manage day-to-day assignments and work products, including content creation and oversight as well as project and account management.
  • Develop and maintain strong traditional and online media relationships to place newsworthy stories that convey core brand messages.
  • Execute monitoring and analytics programs to measure the success of media relations campaigns.
  • Support the design of PR strategies for client announcements and help create a variety of high-quality written materials, including creative content, thoughtful pitch narratives and award/speaking submissions, executive bios, key messages, and press releases.

Requirements

  • Proactive personality; an intuitive self-starter.
  • Strong understanding of client and account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute monitoring and analytics programs to measure the success of media relations campaigns.
  • Understanding of general media relations and demonstrated promise to place newsworthy stories that convey core brand messages.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to develop client-ready materials with minimal edits.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain strong traditional and online media relationships.
  • Preferred but not required, bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or related field.

Preferred

  • Prior PR experience, especially those with experience focused on media relations.
