Job Summary

Own AI visibility and citation for client brands, aligning technical SEO, AI-aware content, and ecosystem signals to influence how AI answer engines describe and rank the client.

  • AI visibility program ownership: measurement, experiments, and reporting tied to leads and pipeline.
  • Technical and content craft: on-page optimization, schema, and content structuring for AI extraction across major engines.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Own client strategy for visibility and citation across AI answer engines, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and Claude.
  • Partner with content teams on AI-aware content, structuring pages for extraction and citation using question-based headings, direct answers, expert quotes, and original data.
  • Build topical authority and strengthen E-E-A-T through content clusters and entity optimization, keeping each client's brand entity data consistent across the open web.
  • Monitor the fast-moving AI search landscape and turn changes into updated recommendations for clients and internal teams.
  • Execute technical SEO across client sites, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile.
  • Manage how AI crawlers access client content, including robots.txt, and implement and maintain llms.txt and llms-full.txt files.
  • Audit and diagnose crawling, rendering, and indexing issues, including JavaScript rendering, canonicalization, and redirects, and turn findings into prioritized fixes.
  • Implement schema markup tailored to each client, including Organization, Article, FAQPage, HowTo, and Speakable types, so answer engines can parse and attribute content accurately.
  • Run link acquisition and digital PR to earn backlinks and brand mentions, both linked and unlinked, from authoritative publications, and manage backlink health.
  • Build client presence on the third-party sources AI engines lean on, including Reddit, Quora, industry publications, B2B review platforms such as G2 and Capterra, and LinkedIn, which carries weight in B2B AI answers.
  • Monitor brand mentions and sentiment across the web, and respond to coverage and reviews in ways that shape how AI systems describe each client.
  • Run the AI search measurement framework, moving beyond rankings to AI visibility, share of answer, citations, and sentiment, using tools such as Profound, Peec.ai, or Ahrefs Brand Radar alongside Google Search Console and Semrush.
  • Run brand visibility audits across major AI platforms using the questions clients' buyers actually ask, tracking how often each client is cited and whether competitors appear instead.
  • Connect AI search visibility to leads, conversions, and pipeline so client reporting shows what the work is worth, not just where the client appears.
  • Run structured experiments across client accounts to learn what moves AI visibility, and turn the winners into repeatable plays the agency reuses.
  • Build the practice by documenting methods, playbooks, and standards, raising AEO and SEO literacy across account and content teams, and building and leading a small search team as it scales.
  • Implement search and AI-readiness improvements directly where practical, in HTML, CSS, and lightweight JavaScript within WordPress, Webflow, and HubSpot CMS.
  • Build templates and content models that bake search and answer-engine best practices in from the start, and embed AEO requirements in discovery and design rather than at launch QA.
  • Partner with internal and external developers on larger builds, translating requirements into clear scopes and holding partners accountable to quality and delivery.
  • Act as the AI-search consultant in client-facing settings, scoping projects, setting objectives, and supporting account teams in quarterly reviews with visibility analysis and performance insight.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years in SEO or technical search, including hands-on AI search optimization (AEO, GEO, or LLMO). Because the field is new, a year or more of focused AEO/GEO work is enough when the SEO foundation is strong.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Semrush, or Ahrefs, plus at least one AI visibility tool such as Profound, Peec.ai, or Ahrefs Brand Radar.
  • Hands-on off-page SEO experience, including link acquisition, digital PR, and brand mention monitoring.
Nice_to_have
  • Agency experience across a portfolio of B2B clients.
  • Readiness to grow into team leadership, with experience mentoring junior search staff a plus.
  • Familiarity with responsive design, web performance, and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Comfort managing multiple client projects in an ambiguous, fast-changing field.
Benefits
  • 95% of employee’s life, health and long-term disability insurance.
  • Vision, dental and a variety of other benefits that an employee can purchase.
  • Tution reimbursement is available.
  • snacks and beverages in kitchen area
