Job Summary

Own the AEO program and content engine to shape how the brand surfaces in AI answers, aligning with authority, accuracy, and evolving search behavior.

  • Own end-to-end AEO strategy with KPIs and leadership-ready reporting.
  • Build a content program with topic clusters, entity authority, and an answer-first publishing cadence.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing SMEs to verify technical claims and adapt to surfacing shifts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop own and execute our end-to-end AEO strategy to define how we show up across AI answer engines, setting the KPIs and goals, and reporting progress clearly to leadership.
  • Build and own a content program designed with AEO in mind — topic clusters, entity authority, answer-first structure, and a publishing cadence that treats the blog as a living AEO asset.
  • Write and edit across every format and channel that feeds AI answers (blog posts, product pages, FAQs, Reddit threads, etc.) with a consistent bar for technical accuracy and answer intent.
  • Audit existing content continuously to identify gaps between what we publish and what AI models' surface and keep our messaging current as the product evolves.
  • Implement structured data, schema markup, and on-page optimizations that improve AI discoverability.
  • Monitor our presence across Reddit, industry forums, and Q&A platforms that LLMs treat as high-trust inputs to respond in ways that keep us authoritative, accurate, and timely.
  • Identify and shape how third-party sources influence AI-generated answers about us, building a layered AEO ecosystem, not just owned content.
  • Stay ahead of how AI search is evolving and adapting strategies proactively.
  • Experiment with content formats, structures, and distribution strategies designed specifically for modern search behaviors.
  • Partner closely with SMEs across product, sales, and marketing to pressure-test technical claims and ensure everything we publish holds up to expert scrutiny.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in creating search-focused content, editorial roles, or related B2B content positions (cybersecurity experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including the distinction between LLM training data and real-time retrieval (RAG).
  • Working knowledge of Schema.org structured data types and their role in LLM entity disambiguation and citation process as well as knowledge of how LLM crawlers (GPTBot, CCBot, PerplexityBot) work at a technical level.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging in communities such as Reddit, technical forums, etc., from a brand or research perspective.
  • Strong writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to make complex technical topics approachable without oversimplifying.
  • A highly organized, detailed-orientated, and analytical mindset with the ability to translate incomplete or noisy data into action. You don’t wait for perfect information to act.
  • Enjoys finding errors, edge cases, and inconsistencies in technical explanations, especially when AI gets them wrong, and fixing them with rigor and speed.
  • Think in systems, not just pages. You understand how blogs, forums, reviews, and third-party sites influence AI answers together. You’re able to build a layered AEO framework, not just a list of tactics.
  • Actively experiment with LLMs and AI tools to understand search behavior and why answers change, not just that they change.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and pressure-test claims with SMEs to ensure accuracy.

Nice to Have

  • Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
