Job Summary

Own and coordinate tournament-day operations and partnerships to drive attendee engagement, sponsor activation, and media reach while enabling grassroots marketing and site updates.

  • Event & Partnerships: support day-to-day event prep, execution, and partnership fulfillment
  • Activation & Engagement: maximize admission/vendor expo activation and engagement with local media
  • Marketing & Site Ops: research target demographics, track marketing performance, and assist website updates

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist Event Director with day-to-day preparation and execution of event
  • Support Corporate and Community Partnerships department with partnership fulfillment
  • Responsible for tracking, accounting, and distribution of tickets to Corporate and Community Partners
  • Research market and target demographics to support overall marketing and sales plan
  • Track performance of tournament marketing and communication activities
  • Assist with implementation of special projects and grassroots marketing efforts
  • Maximize the activation and engagement of the Tournament’s admission and vendor expo area
  • Support engagement with key local media personalities and help execute Media Day
  • Assist with design and updating of the SAS Championship website

Requirements

  • A passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Extensive study or experience in a related field
  • Experience with content creation (e.g., video, graphic, written, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with the ability to be a creative thinker and team player
  • Interested and engaged on various social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong desire to work in a team setting
  • Organized and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Interest in marketing or communications as a career
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)
  • This position pays minimum wage and is overtime-eligible.

Preferred

  • Social Media, Wordpress, HTML, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign knowledge a PLUS (not required)
