Job Summary

Own the on-site event operations by coordinating logistics, communications, and post-event review to ensure smooth athlete experiences and clear stakeholder updates.

  • Oversee merchandise, inventory, and event-related logistics

Job Description

Assist with event operations and logistics across day-of needs, communications, and post-event reporting, coordinating with operations, marketing, and venue partners to deliver athlete-focused experiences.

  • Assist Event Director with day-to-day preparation and execution of event
  • Create and distribute communication to athletes and coaches
  • Management of tournament merchandise and inventory
  • Assist with management of hotel and transportation needs for athletes and coaches
  • Coordinate food and beverage needs with Prestonwood for athletes and coaches
  • Provide support to marketing and communications coordinator to create and implement social posts, announcements, etc.
  • Assist with coordination of Career Day and Champions Cookout Q&A for athletes
  • Provide support to the Operations Director for on-course operational needs
  • Compile HBCU Invitational overview report at close of the event
  • Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned

Requirements

  • A passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Polished communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong desire to work in a team setting
  • Confident ability to solve problems, demonstrate initiative, and present a proactive work ethic
  • Extreme organization, multi-tasking ability, and commitment to strict timelines
  • Mature business sense and ability to work alongside client on a daily basis
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Internet
  • Interest in sports and event management as a long-term career
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)
