Drive nutrition communications and policy work for a food-focused consulting team, translating science and legislation into actionable briefs for clients and health audiences.

  • Translate science and policy updates into actionable recommendations and client-ready communications.
  • Must-have: 1–2 years in food and nutrition communications or related policy roles.
  • Standout: Experience communicating to health professionals and consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date on the food, nutrition, health and policy landscape, with an eye to important topics such as dietary guidance, sustainable food systems, food as medicine, and precision and personalized nutrition
  • Monitor legislative processes, both in the U.S. and internationally
  • Translate science and policy updates into actionable recommendations and compelling communications tactics and resources for clients as well as health professional and consumer audiences
  • Manage day-to-day project details, timelines and workplans with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Actively contribute ideas in team meetings and brainstorm sessions
  • Proactively manage time (including accurate time entry), assignments and to-do lists against deadlines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutrition, public health, public policy or a related discipline; equivalent working experience will be considered
  • Registered dietitian credential preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working in food and nutrition communications, public policy or related roles
  • Communications agency experience preferred
