Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns to support organisational objectives.
Lead brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all platforms, materials, and communications.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities specifically linked to the marine tourism sector and visitor attractions.
Manage the production of marketing materials (digital, print, events, campaigns).
Provide dedicated marketing leadership, strengthen commercial and destination growth activity, improve accountability for campaign performance.
Successfully plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns promoting and celebrating the Scottish Canals brand.
Devise and deliver multi-year marketing plans to bolster marine tourism (boat transit licence sales).
Lead on market research and the development of a marketing plan to support Scottish Canals’ ambitions to re-imagine the iconic Falkirk Wheel offering, delivering a new immersive visitor experience.

Requirements

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Full Driving Licence.
Proven ability to design and deliver successful marketing and communication campaigns.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Creative with a results-driven mindset.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and content management systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
