Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for what we make, why we make it, how we package and produce it, and whether it worked.
You’ll work directly with Richard and the leadership team to set direction, goals and KPI's and lead, hire and manage a creative team underneath.
This is a senior creative strategist and operator role.
You will write first-person, long-form scripts yourself, as well as review and improve other writers' work.
You should be equally comfortable setting channel direction, giving specific feedback and getting videos published.
Strategy and ideation: own the channel's growth goals, metrics and KPIs. Turn them into a clear plan for topics, formats and ideas, based on what our audience cares about and what we can learn from videos that perform well above their channel's usual results. Plan videos that bring in new viewers, build trust and help the right people take the next step.
Testing and learning: build structured tests with a clear hypothesis, a useful comparison and defined success measures. Decide which tests are worth running, make sense of the results and apply what you learn to the next videos.
Packaging: titles, thumbnail concepts and briefs, A/B tests, and repackaging decisions informed by CTR, retention and traffic sources.
Scripting: write full scripts when needed, and edit and quality-check every script before Richard films it. Build strong hooks, story structure, pacing, curiosity and payoffs that keep people watching. Deliver the title's promise in a natural voice, with concrete examples and verified claims.
Production: give editors specific feedback from the first cut, set clear standards and make sure each video meets them.

Requirements

Deep passion for YouTube (storytelling and psychology), and an understanding of channel growth.
Ability to explain why a topic, format, title, thumbnail or script works: what earns the click, what keeps someone watching and what makes them return.
Structured approach to testing: clear hypotheses, useful comparisons, defined success measures and sound interpretation of results.
Ownership of goals, metrics and KPIs. Strong command of CTR, average view duration, retention graphs, traffic sources and channel growth metrics, with examples of how you used them to make decisions.
Experience managing editors and/or designers, setting clear standards, giving specific feedback and helping people improve.
You learn quickly, ask good questions and take direct feedback well. You can get up to speed on a new audience, subject and business model.
Fluent spoken and written English is essential. You must be able to write natural, compelling English scripts and communicate clearly with Richard and the team.
Confidence using without over-reliance on AI tools, particularly Claude/Codex. You still take responsibility for the voice, accuracy and claims in the finished work.
Full-time availability and at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern working hours.
Remote: we welcome candidates across the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, Mexico, Central America and South America, including Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Argentina and Costa Rica. Exceptional candidates elsewhere are also welcome.

Preferred

Strong business judgment and experience with marketing funnels, infopreneurship, online education or edusoftware are highly valued. A record of connecting content to leads or sales is a strong advantage.
