Job Description

Responsibilities

Technical SEO & Organic Search
Take ownership of technical SEO across all group websites.
Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement improvements.
Manage crawling, indexing, site architecture, canonicalisation, redirects and structured data.
Improve Core Web Vitals, website speed, mobile performance and technical accessibility.
Undertake keyword research, competitor analysis and search opportunity assessments.
Develop and implement on-page, technical and off-page SEO strategies.
Improve organic search visibility, qualified website traffic and lead generation.
Manage internal linking, content optimisation and local SEO where relevant.
Monitor search performance through Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush or equivalent platforms.

Requirements

Advanced technical SEO expertise and a proven track record of improving organic search performance.
Strong practical experience independently building, developing and maintaining websites.
Excellent WordPress development skills or equivalent expertise with modern CMS platforms.
Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript capabilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of crawling, indexing, structured data, website architecture and technical performance.
Experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
Proficiency with specialist SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush.
Strong practical experience using AI tools for coding, technical analysis, SEO and automation.
Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and digital lead generation.
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

PHP and custom WordPress development.
Python, scripting and automated SEO workflows.
API integrations and automated reporting.
Website hosting and server management.
Experience with B2B engineering, manufacturing or technical services.
Experience managing digital projects across multiple brands or businesses.
