Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical SEO audits across client sites — crawlability, indexation, site architecture, redirects, and canonicalisation
  • Diagnose and resolve Core Web Vitals issues, page speed problems, and rendering challenges
  • Manage structured data implementation (schema markup) and validate via rich result testing
  • Oversee log file analysis to understand how search engines are crawling client sites
  • Work closely with developers and the web team to ensure recommendations are implemented correctly and on time
  • Maintain and deliver a technical SEO roadmap aligned with organic growth objectives for each client
  • Stay current with algorithm updates and assess their impact on client performance
  • Have an awareness of how AI search (including Google AI Overviews, AEO, and GEO) is changing organic visibility — and a curiosity to stay ahead of it
  • Conduct keyword research and topical mapping to inform content priorities
  • Brief and optimise content in collaboration with the wider team

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an SEO role, ideally agency-side
  • Deep technical SEO knowledge — you understand how search engines work at a fundamental level, not just what the tools surface
  • Hands-on experience with technical audits, crawl analysis, Core Web Vitals, and structured data
  • Comfortable working with developers — you can translate technical recommendations into clear briefs and QA the output
  • Solid working knowledge of on-page optimisation and keyword research
  • Good understanding of link building principles — enough to set strategy and manage outsourced delivery
  • Commercially minded — able to identify growth opportunities and connect SEO activity to business outcomes
  • Knowledge of tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, GA4, and Google Tag Manager
  • Willing to embrace AI and new technology to work smarter and more efficiently
  • Strong communicator — able to explain SEO clearly to clients who aren't experts

Benefits

  • Company pension
  • Work from home
