Job Summary

Own the PR and GTM strategy for Formula E across markets, leading city activations, media partnerships, and on-site storytelling while managing agencies, campaigns, and live event execution.

  • Define and drive two-phase cultural and ticket-driven campaigns.
  • Lead host-city partnerships and city-wide activations.
  • Oversee agencies, on-site logistics, and top-tier media outreach.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Race Calendar Go-To-Market PR Strategy: Architect and lead proactive GTM earned media frameworks across all championship markets. Champion our two-phase campaign model: building early cultural fame and anticipation before ticket launches, followed by commercial, ticket-driving publicity up to race week.
  • Disruptive City Marketing & Host Market Leadership: Look outside traditional motorsport to conceptualise fresh, innovative city activations. Lead the strategic dialogue with host city partners, municipal authorities, tourism boards, and circuit promoters, positioning each ePrix as a marquee cultural spectacle.
  • Brand Marketing & Commercial Alignment: Act as the dedicated Comms integration partner for Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure PR directly accelerates ticket sales, fan conversion, and brand awareness through cohesive full-funnel execution.
  • Proactive Storytelling & Big Ideas: Identify emerging cultural trends and propose ambitious, high-impact concepts to create city buzz, earned media moments, and shareable brand stories long before the cars hit the track.
  • Tier-1 Culture, Tech & Lifestyle Media: Pitch, secure, and direct non-endemic, Tier-1 lifestyle, business, entertainment, and tech coverage (e.g., Wired, Financial Times, Highsnobiety, national morning shows, and premium city publications) to reach audiences outside the traditional racing bubble.
  • Global Agency Roster & Tender Management: Oversee and hold accountable our roster of regional PR agencies across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and emerging race territories, owning procurement and tender processes while setting clear KPIs tied to market awareness, sentiment, and ticket acquisition.
  • Editorial & Rights-Holder Campaign Support: Oversee local-market editorial narratives and rights-holder PR synergies to ensure broadcast and media rights partners are supported locally ahead of each race weekend.
  • People Leadership & Trackside Operations: Line manage, mentor, and empower the Communications Executive. Travel on a rotational basis to manage race promotion execution on-site during race weekends.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated PR & Campaign Track Record: Significant progressive experience leading high-profile communications, consumer PR, or event promotion within international sports, entertainment, live events, or major consumer lifestyle brands.
  • Event Go-To-Market & Commercial Conversion: Master of commercial GTM campaigns where earned media directly drives audience growth, event buzz, and ticket acquisition / box-office conversion.
  • Creativity & Strategic Mindset: A proactive self-starter who looks outside motorsport (fashion, music, tech) for inspiration, pitching ambitious concepts that challenge legacy thinking and create cultural fame.
  • Host City & Executive Influencing: Proven capability to command strategic discussions with external host city stakeholders, tourism leaders, municipal authorities, and executive leadership.
  • Global Agency & RFP Management: Deep experience managing regional PR agencies across multiple continents, languages, and time zones, including running formal RFPs and agency pitch tenders.
  • Tier-1 Lifestyle & Non-Endemic Media Network: Proven personal network and track record landing features across lifestyle, design, tech, business, and mainstream city entertainment outlets.
  • People Leadership & Live Event Agility: Passionate people manager capable of coaching junior team members, thriving under fast-paced live event conditions, and traveling rotationally on-site.

Preferred

  • Multilingual proficiency in Spanish, German, French, Chinese, or Japanese is a strong plus for this role.

Benefits

  • 25 days' annual leave, Birthday day off and Wellbeing leave
  • Opportunity to extend your stay if travelling for a race event

  • Enhanced Parental Leave
