Job Summary

Own and scale paid acquisition while directing creative strategy, optimize store conversion, and build retention and expansion plans to grow a UK-based D2C brand into new markets with data-driven accountability.

  • Lead paid media across Meta/Google with a focus on contribution margin
  • Own conversion rate optimization and A/B testing for WooCommerce
  • Design and drive retention flows and cross-channel growth experiments

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Paid acquisition. Plan, run and scale our Meta and Google campaigns yourself, to a contribution-margin target rather than platform ROAS. Open new channels when the numbers justify it.
  • Creative direction. Set the creative strategy and testing roadmap: angles, hooks, offers and formats. Brief and direct creators, editors and designers, and use AI tools to produce and iterate faster.
  • Store and conversion. Own the conversion rate of our WooCommerce store: product pages, landing pages, checkout, payment plans, reviews and A/B tests.
  • Retention. Build the email and SMS flows that turn a first purchase into replacement-filter orders and referrals.
  • New markets. Help test demand outside the UK when the time is right.
  • Numbers. Own tracking, attribution and a weekly scorecard: customer acquisition cost, conversion rate, average order value, contribution margin and repeat rate.
  • Brand. Keep everything we publish inside our brand voice and our rules on product claims.

Requirements

  • 4+ years growing a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand, in-house or at a performance agency, with your own hands in the ad accounts.
  • A record of scaling paid social profitably for a high-ticket, considered purchase. Home, wellness or hardware experience is a plus.
  • Creative judgment you can show: ads you conceived or directed, and what they did.
  • Commercial thinking. You are comfortable with unit economics and contribution margin, not only ROAS.
  • Hands-on skills in store conversion (WooCommerce or Shopify), GA4, and email and SMS automation.
  • Excellent with AI. You use AI image, video and copy production tools and automated workflows every day, and can show what you've made with them.
  • A big plus if you've started or run your own brand or business.
  • Experience selling to US consumers is a plus.
  • You like owning a number, you welcome direct feedback, and you work well remotely.

Benefits

  • Remote or hybrid working: anywhere in the UK, with in-person team days in London every fortnight.
  • Full ownership of the channel, with a direct line to the founder.
