  • Build and refine audience segments and personalised communications

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of email marketing across all 12 Gilchrist Collection venues, from strategy and planning through to hands-on execution.
  • Plan, create, build and send engaging email campaigns designed to generate enquiries, venue tours and bookings.
  • Develop automated lead nurture journeys that move prospective couples from initial enquiry through to venue tour and beyond.
  • Create audience segments based on venue preference, behaviour, engagement, stage in the customer journey and other relevant data.
  • Write and optimise compelling email copy while maintaining the individual tone and positioning of our venues.
  • Develop personalised and triggered email communications to make our marketing more timely and relevant.
  • Build and continually optimise email automations, workflows and nurture sequences.
  • Manage the email marketing calendar, balancing planned campaigns with automated customer journeys.
  • Test subject lines, messaging, content, calls to action, timing and audience segments to continually improve performance.
  • Monitor and report on key email and funnel metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, engagement, enquiries, venue tours and conversion.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing or CRM marketing.
  • Experience planning, building and delivering email campaigns rather than solely managing strategy or external agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of email automation, customer journeys, nurture sequences, segmentation and personalisation.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt messaging while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms and CRM systems, with a good understanding of how the two should work together.
  • A track record of improving email performance, engagement, lead nurture or conversion, with examples of measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of testing and optimisation, including A/B testing and using campaign performance to inform future activity.
  • Confidence working with customer and lead data to create useful segments and targeted communications.
  • Experience with CRM implementation, migration or optimisation would be highly advantageous, but you don't need to be a CRM developer or technical systems specialist.
  • An analytical mindset and confidence using reporting and data to make decisions.

Preferred

  • Experience within weddings, hospitality, events, leisure or another enquiry-led consumer business would be useful but isn't essential.

Benefits

  • £38,000–£42,000 salary, depending on experience and track record.
  • Real ownership of email marketing strategy and execution.
  • The opportunity to build automated customer journeys and nurture programmes from the ground up.
  • Access to a significant flow of prospective customer enquiries, giving you the opportunity to make a measurable impact.
  • The chance to help shape our CRM and marketing technology setup rather than simply inherit existing systems.
  • A portfolio of 12 beautiful wedding venues with plenty of scope for creative, targeted marketing.
  • Close collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Gilchrist Collection head office team as well as venues.
  • A full-time, permanent position.
  • Day off on your birthday
  • Cinema Society Club
