Job Summary

Own the creative engine for a performance and brand focused advertising program, guiding strategy, copy, and sequencing while building leadership within the team.

Own cross channel creative direction for TV/video, upper funnel and paid social.
Define messaging frameworks and ad sequencing to drive consistent tone and iterations.
Manage and mentor the junior Creative Strategist and collaborate with channel managers to optimize impact.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead advertising creative strategy — own the creative direction for ad creative across all channels, including TV/video, upper funnel brand work, and paid social.
Drive messaging strategy — develop and maintain SURI advertising voice, tone, and messaging frameworks
Write exceptional copy — produce high-quality scripts, headlines, and ad copy that balance brand and performance
Manage and develop junior — oversee the Junior Creative Strategist’s output, provide creative direction, and support their development to ensure we build a best-in-class creative function.
Own ad sequencing and creative feedback — guide editing direction, clip selection, and creative iteration
Collaborate with channel managers — work closely with the performance and brand team to ensure creative is optimised for results

Requirements

5-6 years of copywriting experience, primarily in a creative agency
A portfolio that demonstrates genuine creative craft.
Strong strategic thinking — able to move from brand insight to campaign concept
Comfortable working on a single brand at depth (vs. juggling multiple clients)
Ambition to grow into a creative leadership role as the team scales
Performance marketing knowledge is a plus, but not required — we’ll develop this together
