Job Description

Responsibilities

  • As our Community Manager, you'll play a leading role in making Nest a lively, valuable and welcoming place to be.
  • This is a hands-on role where you'll combine community building, content creation, engagement, moderation and relationship management.
  • You'll help people find value in the platform, support volunteer community leaders, encourage meaningful conversations and use insight and data to help the community grow.
  • No two days will be quite the same. One day you might be helping launch a new community, the next analysing engagement trends, supporting a webinar, developing resources for community leaders or working with colleagues to improve the user experience.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or growing online communities or digital engagement platforms.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience creating or coordinating engaging digital content.
  • Confidence moderating discussions and managing sensitive situations professionally.
  • The ability to use data and user feedback to improve engagement and participation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming and respectful online spaces.

Preferred

  • Experience of platforms such as Hivebrite, working within a membership organisation, charity or professional body, or delivering online events and webinars would be advantageous.

Benefits

  • We offer an impressive range of benefits, a broad range of learning development opportunities and an award-winning health and wellbeing programme.
  • We offer annual leave up to 32 days plus bank holidays and three additional days for the Christmas break plus generous maternity, adoption, paternity, and shared parental leave packages.
  • We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.
  • Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
