Responsibilities

• Develop a communication and marketing strategy
• Oversee the organisation’s website, digital communication and promotional materials
• Provide line management and support to the Social Media Coordinator to maximise Common Youth’s online presence and public profile
• Develop campaigns and content that promotes all Common Youth’s services
• Work collaboratively with the Education and Clinic team to promote and to improve awareness of Common Youth’s services
• Research and identify funding opportunities
• Prepare and submit funding applications
• Develop fundraising initiatives and support activities that generate income.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, partners and community
• Produce reports required by funders and Senior Management

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years current experience working in communication, marketing or public relations
• Experience of developing creative approaches to income generation, fundraising and promotional activity
• Experience in working with young people
• Experience writing funding or grant applications
• Experience supporting or supervising staff or volunteers
• Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience managing websites and social media platforms.

Preferred

• Experience working in the charity, community or health sector.
• Knowledge of youth participation or co-production.
