Own and drive Oswestry BID's communications and marketing, delivering day-to-day social content, events promotion, website updates, and CRM/mailing list management while supporting campaigns, press activity, and performance measurement across multiple channels.

  • Owns reporting and analytics to inform ongoing activities.
  • Supports events, trails, and business engagement initiatives with communications and collateral.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the BID Manager and Assistant Manager with communications and marketing activity.
  • Create day-to-day social media content, including visiting businesses, attending events, taking photographs and producing reels.
  • Keep the website updated with events, news and business information.
  • Help deliver planned social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Produce posters, graphics, flyers and other simple marketing materials.
  • Assist with newsletters and email communications.
  • Draft press releases and news stories for approval.
  • Help maintain the CRM and mailing lists.
  • Support the delivery and promotion of trails, events and BID initiatives.
  • Gather basic social media, website and campaign statistics.

Requirements

  • A good standard of education is required preferably to A level (or equivalent) with a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Be able to demonstrate good experience of using a range of social media platforms.
  • Strong practical knowledge of: Digital marketing and engagement, including social media content creation and management.
  • Content and editorial development.
  • Multi-channel campaign development and management.
  • Proactively develop ‘news’ stories.
  • Create supporting marketing assets such a flyers, leaflets, posters and a Newsletter.
  • Experience of using social media.
  • Experience of website administration.
  • Team worker.

Preferred

  • A degree in a related subject, equivalent professional qualification or minimum 3 years working in a similar position. Experience of using social media platforms, Mailchimp, Canva, CRM, website administration.
