Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build a credible and evidence-based view of RGML’s market share, network capacity and competitor positioning across Rhino, Oceros and Halo.
  • Track competitor revenue, product launches and industry developments, building the network of contacts and sources needed to close current information gaps.
  • Create a Data Quality Framework and turn RGML’s internal performance and customer data into regular, digestible insight that informs day-to-day and strategic decisions.
  • Analyse digital analytics, particularly in support of Halo’s proposition, to understand demand, behaviour and positioning.
  • Design and run structured listening groups with customers and non-customers to bring a qualitative dimension to the data.
  • Define what it means for RGML to be a true partner to its customers, and translate that definition into proposition and behaviour across the group.
  • Present insight and recommendations regularly and clearly to the leadership team, in a form that’s built to be acted on rather than simply noted.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a market insight, competitor intelligence, business intelligence or marketing analytics role.
  • A track record of building a market share or competitor picture from limited, imperfect or scattered data.
  • Experience designing and running customer research programmes, such as listening groups or voice-of-customer work, and confident use of data and reporting tools (e.g. Excel and a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau).
  • Experience operating at a senior level, influencing leadership teams and directly shaping commercial strategy or proposition.

Preferred

  • Experience within automotive, franchise dealer networks or the wider motor trade is highly desirable.
