Job Summary

Own the local museum events and audience-growth agenda, coordinating the program and supporting cross-team promotion and logistics at Corinium Museum and nearby sites.

  • Events programme ownership and district audience development, with cross-channel marketing support
  • Operations and collaboration: administration, event delivery, and front-of-house coverage
  • Site collaboration: work with theCorinium Museum team and Resource Centre colleagues across Cirencester and Northleach

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the museum’s events programme
  • Support marketing activity including digital and print promotion
  • Contribute to audience development across the district
  • Support the wider running of the museum service, including administration, event delivery and occasional front of house cover
  • The role is primarily based at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, with occasional work at the Resource Centre in Northleach
  • Report to the Marketing and Events Manager and work closely with a collaborative and dedicated team

Requirements

  • Experienced in a marketing, events or similar role
  • Highly organised, methodical and able to manage multiple priorities
  • A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Creative and proactive
  • Comfortable coordinating events and managing associated logistics
  • Experienced in working with community groups
  • IT proficient, including working with digital platforms
  • A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Motivated to develop partnerships and support audience growth
  • Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday & Wednesday (rota basis)
  • The role is based at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester, with occasional work at the Resource Centre in Northleach
  • You will report to the Marketing and Events Manager and work closely with a collaborative and dedicated team

Preferred

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Experience using social media for marketing and audience engagement
  • Experience within museums, heritage, arts or cultural sectors
  • Knowledge of event or exhibition programming
  • Graphic design skills or experience creating promotional materials
  • Experience producing or editing digital content such as video
  • Understanding of issues affecting museums and the cultural sector
  • Small scale project management experience
  • Fundraising experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
