Job Summary

Own and update the URVC website and supporting digital materials to showcase URVC's mission, opportunities, and resources while ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with U of M branding.

Lead website development and content updates to reflect URVC goals and opportunities
Collaborate on digital materials (videos, testimonials, newsletters) to inform and inspire volunteers

Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the URVC website to ensure that:
- It conveys a positive and engaging exposure to URVC’s purpose, goals, accomplishments, opportunities and resources;
- All information is current and accurate;
- New and consistent information is posted regularly (e.g. article links, stories, testimonials, upcoming events);
- It allows potential volunteers to easily access information needed to determine how opportunities align with their own interests and abilities;
- It allows volunteer agencies/site coordinators clear information needed to post volunteer openings through URVC;
- It reflects URVC’s alignment with U of M strategic goals and imperatives;
- It follows U of M branding and accessibility standards.
Support the development of URVC digital materials (e.g. videos, testimonials, newsletter articles) designed to inform and inspire current and potential volunteers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field
Strong writing and editing skills and a strong good grasp of digital marketing principles
Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics software.
Proficiency in Drupal and familiarity with University digital systems
Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to assist in developing and managing engaging content
At least two years of experience in web design and maintenance

Preferred

Familiarity with University of Minnesota information systems and website development procedures
At least three years of website development within the University system
