Responsibilities

Create, review and edit content for the Bridgewater State University website.
Ensure all content uploaded onto the website meets accessibility and content standards.
Regularly update and check for accurate content on the website.
Work collaboratively to develop and build new content and functionality for the website.
Ability to collaborate effectively with others at all levels and units of the university to create new and update existing content.
Develop reports and monitor web performance statistics.
Work with university colleagues to implement video content for the website.
Make recommendations to Web Content Manager and Director of Web Communications for upgrades and changes to the format, design and content of the website.
Attend staff meetings and participate in the organization’s operations and strategic direction.
Actively supports the University’s initiatives of Diversity & Social Justice.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
1 year professional experience in web Content Creation Required.
Excellent Editing And Proofreading Skills, including editIing a variety of material for clarity, logical organization, and stylistic consistency.
Ability to work with colleagues to continually improve the website.
Experience in embedding video and static graphic content into web pages.
Project management skills, including ability to develop work plans and timelines, handle simultaneous assignments, and meet deadlines.
Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills.
Work Experience Developing content for complex websites in a large, dispersed organization.
Accessibility (WCAG 2.1) knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of SEO/GEO preferred.
