Job Description

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day client project work and produce quality client deliverables
Provide tactical support for multiple clients’ accounts
Identify and pursue business opportunities with existing clients; supports the tourism area of expertise in all efforts towards achieving new business KPIs.
Develop strategic media angles for major outlets; enhance key relationships with major media contacts
Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
Develop and manage project budget; supervise billing, activity/status reports and timely completion of timesheets
Support and execute communications campaigns, playing a key role in client account planning and strategy
Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print and broadcast media
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
Manage intense cycles of media inquiries as well as proactive relationships with key national and international media/influencers

Requirements

BA or BS degree; graduate degree in business, communications, public relations, etc.
Detailed knowledge of media relations from key trade publications to national outlets
A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in professional services firm, journalism, public relations communications or related field
Specific knowledge of the travel industry; experience working with travel and entertainment clients
