Edit short-form vertical video and longer YouTube-style pieces — tight cuts, clean audio, on-screen text, motion graphics where they help.
Run Orbital's social accounts day to day: plan the calendar, write captions, post, and engage.
Turn dense technical material (thermal design, orbital mechanics, GPU economics) into clear, visual explainers that non-specialists actually watch.
Track performance, learn what works, and feed that back into what we make next.
Build and maintain a library of b-roll, photos and brand assets the rest of the team can draw on.

Requirements

2+ years producing video for social, with a portfolio of work you shot and edited yourself. Show us the reel.
Comfortable operating a camera, lighting, and audio solo, and with Premiere / DaVinci / CapCut / After Effects or equivalent.
A real feel for what performs on short-form platforms right now, and the speed to ship daily.
Curious about hard tech. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should enjoy learning how things work and be able to ask good questions on camera.
Organized and self-directed — you'll be the only person doing this, so you set your own pace and keep it.
Based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles; this role is on-site.

Preferred

Experience covering hardware, aerospace, deep tech, or startups.
Photography and still-image design skills.
Experience editing or ghost-producing content for a founder or executive.
