Drive global partnerships with HR, Marketing, and business units to translate expertise into external social value.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Own Huron’s global social media channel strategy (defining the distinct role, audience, and content mix for each platform) and continuously evolve the channel portfolio, expanding, consolidating, or retiring channels as business priorities and audience behavior shift.
Align social content and campaigns to business development priorities, connecting Huron's expertise with clients and prospects to support pipeline and growth goals.
Set content direction and campaign priorities for the Social team and content creators to execute against, providing clear briefs and quality standards.
Actively lead hands-on content development, including interviews, on-site shoot direction, and SME content creation for high-visibility and executive moments.
Travel an estimated 15-20% of the year to lead or support content creation for: Executive and leadership visibility moments; Industry conferences; HR and recruiting events; Major internal and enterprise-wide gatherings
Own organic social media strategy, collaborate closely with Digital Marketing to shape an effective, strategic paid media approach that is fully aligned with organic content and channel priorities.
Represent enterprise-wide goals in social strategy, aligning priorities across business areas rather than a single function.
Partner with Marketing leaders, ELT/SLT/EMAC, and business unit leadership shaping how social supports campaigns and business priorities.
Partner with HR on employer-brand and talent-related content.
Partner with business and industry leaders and SMEs to translate their expertise into externally facing social content (e.g., LinkedIn thought-leadership posts, expert commentary, video features).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
8-10+ years of progressive social media, digital content creation, marketing, or corporate communications experience, including experience at an enterprise or multi-business-unit organization.
Demonstrated experience managing content programs, direct reports, and cross-functional or business stakeholders, with proven experience influencing senior and executive stakeholders on brand and reputation matters; global or multi-region social experience preferred.
Proven track record of social media strategy that drives measurable business growth across core platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube).
Chicago location preferred, given regular filming at our headquarters studio.
Willingness to travel an estimated 15% of the year for on-site content shoots and events.
Social & Digital Platform Mastery: Deep expertise across LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and emerging channels, translating platform trends into Huron-specific strategy and AI-assisted content workflows.
Business Acumen: Connects social and content strategy to enterprise goals of growing people, margins, and revenue.
Planning & Organizing: Manages concurrent campaigns and long-range planning, coordinating resources and partners to keep initiatives on track, displaying proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Wrike and Sprout Social, or similar platforms.
Critical Thinking & Analytics: Synthesizes performance data, trends, and the competitive landscape into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
